Habitat Questions
What are some good weed mixes to grow that are safe and nutritious for tortoises?
Re: Habitat Questions
Why not try first using the filter tool on our plant database to produce lists of plants that are safe to feed. Just to this page: https://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/pla ... -database/ and scroll down to the 'How to Use the Traffic Light Filters' section and follow the instructions there. If you have any problems, get back to us and we can explain in detail.

Re: Habitat Questions
Great question! A good weed mix for tortoises usually includes plants like dandelion, plantain (both broadleaf and narrowleaf), sow thistle, clover, and mallow. You can also include things like hawksbit, chickweed, and selfheal. Make sure to avoid anything treated with pesticides, and always double-check each plant against a tortoise-safe list just to be sure. Growing a variety gives them both nutrition and enrichment.
