Is your tortoise behaving in a way that makes you think he might be sick or stressed? If tortoises are ill then they often lose their appetite and become lethargic -- but that can happen if the temperatures are wrong (too hot or too cold) too. Have you had the tortoise for a long time (it can take a while to get to know your tortoise well enough to know if he is off colour or stressed).
