REHOME - Winston - M Hermann - East Sussex

Post by lin » 27 Jul 2024, 23:22

Winston is a beautiful Hermann of around 20 years plus, living in Burwash, East Sussex. Like you all do, the owner has loved and cared so dearly for Winston but as we know, because if their longevity, we cannot be with them for their whole life and we are torn by having to make the decision to rehome, sadly it is now Winston’s turn.
He has lived alone outside in a huge secure tortoise area for many years where he self feeds with flower contributions added along with his cuttle bone and a winter dressing of limestone flower over winter.
Winston has access to a greenhouse whenever he wants and is shut in there at night. Is a very friendly chappie, comes when he’s called and hasn't had any health issues in the years I've had him. He is tested for worms regularly but has a healthy gut and no treatment has been recommended.
Winston hates being inside in table but has to do it before and after hibernation, and it is thought/ hoped that spring will bring him a few lovely ladies to exhaust his energy levels but it’s not a problem as he is used to being alone.
If you would like to takeover Winston's care and offer to lead him through the next part of his journey please feel free to contact the owner stating ‘Rehome Winston’ as the subject line to - carmalee21@outlook.com (copy & paste address or re type) stating what you have to offer and a photo of your proposed setup would be nice.
If you don’t hear anything in a day or two resend and let me know on here so that I can let the owner know.
Remember that species cannot be mixed and quarantine period should be followed.
Good luck to you all and keep me posted.
