Alphonsa is a 14 year old female Hermanni from Sandy, Bedfordshire. She is a much loved part of the family who are looking for a new home because the family are soon to be moving and will no longer have the capability to look after her, or give her the freedom they want her to have. The family don’t like the thought of her being restricted in either space or mental stimulation and would like her to find new home where she will have space to not feel to enclosed and be able to spend time outside, potentially with other tortoise friends (not males).
Alphonsa has a unique squiffy shell formation and needs a bit of a beak trim. Sourcing a natural diet isn’t always possible so Alphonsa sometimes eats store bought foods, but that can easily be gradually removed from her diet.
