REHOMED - Sulcata & Leopard from Holland on Sea, Essex

Post by lin » 17 Aug 2024, 15:57

Two tortoises this time from Holland on Sea, Essex. Sahara is the Sulcata and unsexed being only 2 years old, and Bolt the Leopard is looking like a female at 4 years so not 100% sure. Both tortoises are healthy and love roaming in the garden grazing in the sunshine (weather permitting). To be rehomed (or kept) separately these two are now looking for homes that are capable to take on the bigger, non hibernating species and offer them the space, housing and what is needed in their daily care during the next part of their journey.
Both tortoises are in need of a change of winter diet and that shouldn’t be to hard because dried grass is readily available and enjoyed by both species either dry or moist and thankfully winter forage does grow here in the UK. One thing to remember about Sulcata and Leopards is in reality they cost hardly anything to feed because the main diet is ordinary lawn grass and a few added edible flowers and leaves.
The owner is willing to let their equipment go with the tortoises at their own discretion.

If you would like to apply for Sahara or Bolt then please contact - ———————————  with ‘Rehome (tortoises name)’ as the subject and introduce yourself, let the owner know what you have to offer, the inside and outside accommodation and any photos you might have.
If you don’t hear anything in a day or two resend and let me know on here so that I can let the owner know.
Remember that species cannot be mixed and quarantine period should be followed.
Good luck to you all and keep me posted.
