Plant App

Use this forum for identification of plants and flowers found in the UK. To allow us to help provide accurate identification we need clear pictures of the whole plant, where it is growing and close up pictures of flowers, buds or seed heads if any available. It would also be useful to see pictures showing the leaf attached to the stem.

Plant App

Post by PhilBen » 29 Aug 2023, 20:09

Hi all, I have found this app very useful to identify plants (names) so i can search on the tortoise table database.
Its called Plant Parent. I use the free version of it.

Thanks for the tip, Phil -- I'll have a look at it. There are quite a few Plant ID apps out there, and some of them are more accurate than others, so it's always useful to hear of a good one.

It sounds like you're enjoying the Plant Parent app for identifying plants! It's great that you're using it in combination with the Tortoise Table database to ensure your plants are safe for tortoises. Many people find plant identification apps helpful for learning more about the greenery around them. Do you find the free version of Plant Parent covers all your needs, or have you considered upgrading to access more features?
