Use this forum for identification of plants and flowers found in the UK. To allow us to help provide accurate identification we need clear pictures of the whole plant, where it is growing and close up pictures of flowers, buds or seed heads if any available. It would also be useful to see pictures showing the leaf attached to the stem.

Hi,
I was out and about today picking weeds for my Hermanns and came across this. I've searched for it but can't find what it is.
Any idea ?
It was picked from parkland in Berks, UK.
Thanks in advance,
Sarah
Edit - I too don't seem to be able to attach the photo

I've sent it by e-mail - hope that's ok !!
Edit 2 - Thank you so much to the admins who replied to me via e-mail and have ID the plant as SowThistle - Turbo will love to chomp on that tomorrow I'm sure.

Thanks, Sarah. We're going to look at our instructions again and try to make them clearer! We're really grateful to get feedback like this. And I hope your tortoise enjoys his sowthistle!

Type Violet into our database search and you will see it is safe for your tortoise Bex.
